The Physical Disability Council of SA has approached SAFECOM with the idea of setting up a register of people with disabilities for emergency services, if they need to attend your home/premises. This would provide police, ambulance, fire & emergency services (MFS/CFS/SES) with the knowledge that there is a person with a disability, living in the house who may require additional support in an emergency.
Any scheme developed would only be used by these services and the information would be safe and secure.
It is important that before any process is developed that we know if there is interest in theis idea in the disability community.
If you are interested in this idea, please register your interest with Philip Menz, President, via the online form below This is not only for people with a physical disability.
