PDCSA: Physical Disability Council South Australia

The Physical Disability Council of South Australia (PDCSA) is the communication link between people with a physical disability and decision-makers in government, the community and the business world.

There is much work to be done by PDCSA with particular emphasis to raising the public awareness to the issues which people with disabilities (pwd) have to deal with  on a daily basis, such as unmet needs in education, health, equipment, adequate housing etc.,  to name but a few.

To achieve these goals our organization is planning a major recruitment campaign to encourage people with a disability to join PDCSA in the hope that  a percentage of those current and new members who are willing and able to be involved in a practical level to assist in areas they feel they can contribute their given talent to help raise the profile of people with a disability and their unmet needs.

We have links on this website  to all of the Physical Disability Councils in each State and Territory in Australia, go to  our web links page.

Each council operates independently and consists of individual members who have a physical disability, carers, relatives, friends, advocates  and service organizations, who all provide assistance, support and services to people with physical disabilities.

This is a huge challenge for all involved but unless members get involved in PDCSA, disability issues which effects all of society will always be at the mercy of government whims.

PDCSA is not an exclusive club for people in wheelchairs, it is an organization open to  all who have a physical disability

The time for action is long overdue. Take up the mantle now and see what you can do for South Australians living with a disability.

This is the time for our voice to be heard and become a powerful united organization which will be heard by the powers that be.
